PVC Single Ply Roofing System

Johns Manville PVC is a highly-engineered, flexible, thermoplastic membrane manufactured using an ultraviolet-resistant polyvinyl chloride and a DuPont™ Elvaloy® KEE (ketone ethylene ester) formulation. It provides excellent weathering characteristics, high tensile strength and long-term flexibility. It also exhibits excellent resistance to harsh chemicals and industrial pollutants.

PVC Single Ply System — JM PVC and UltraGard® PVC

PVC roofing systems result in a cleaner, quicker, more economical installation able to withstand heat, wind, rain, varying temperatures and many contaminants. The heat-weldable seams provide a unified, watertight seal as strong as the membrane itself. Systems can be installed fully adhered or mechanically fastened. UltraGard® PVC brings Seahawk Stadium to life

The roof of Qwest Field, the Seattle Seahawks stadium, was designed to resemble two clamshells facing each other. In the rugged Pacific Northwest, finding a roof that would stand up to the elements and read well against the skyline was a challenge. JM UltraGard® PVC was chosen because its white membrane stood out against the skyline and because it could meet an FM 1-90 rating and the wind uplift concern of a large roof exposed on both the under and topsides. The 200,000 sq. ft. roof was mechanically attached to a metal deck.
